Attending BTB?

  • It’s not just about the racing - Beginning at 2:30 pm with the start of the first race, the McKinney downtown square proper takes on a festive feel featuring live music, bike demos, foodie options, an expo area, Texas wines and craft beers on tap.
  • BTB is a free event.
  • Parking is free and available in the 13 lots that are located in the downtown area.
  • ATMs are available on-site.
  • The course – Beginning at the Start/Finish line located at the intersection of Virginia Street and Church Street, the course heads west on Virginia and takes a left turn on College Street. Another quick left turn has the riders racing down Louisiana toward the downtown square proper. Another sharp left turn at N. Tennessee takes the riders past the MPAC building heading north towards Hunt Street. A left turn on Hunt Street followed by another quick left turn on Kentucky has the racers headed back towards the downtown proper. With one final turn (this time to the right!) onto Virginia the riders are in all out sprint to the finish line at Church Street. Whew! Race course map.
  • Crossing the race course – designated crossing zones will be manned by event staff/volunteers and will be opened only when the course has been deemed safe for passage. Please be patient and plan your access through the site accordingly.
  • The course is lit at night so spectator viewing can be enjoyed through the last race.
  • Many of the downtown businesses will be open during BTB, so take advantage of the event and take in some shopping!
  • Please note, no alcohol is allowed into or out of the event area, however, alcoholic beverages will be sold within the event area by a licensed concessionaire.
    • There will be one main alcohol consumption zones – interior to the race course on the streets that surround the McKinney Performing Arts Center and stretching to the Start/Finish line.
  • If you’re bringing your pet please make sure they’re on a leash.
  • Feel free to bring a lawn chair and set up along the race course. Some of the most exciting crowd gathering areas are on the turns!

  • Be sure to make the rounds during Bike The Bricks by visiting the McKinney, the main square proper with the food trucks, the Expo area and the Entertainment stage, and the always exciting Start/Finish line!
